Ingredients

  • tablespoons apple cider vinegar 
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • 1.5 pounds brussels sprouts trimmed
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt for seasoning
  • tablespoons juice of lemon fresh
  • 0.3 cup maple syrup pure
  • cup pecans 
  • tablespoon sugar 
  • 0.3 cup vegetable oil 
  • 0.3 cup coarse mustard whole

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Spray large sheetof foil with nonstick spray.
  2. Place pecanson small rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Whiskmaple syrup, 1/2 teaspoon coarse salt, and1/4 teaspoon pepper in small bowl.
  4. Add tonuts and toss to coat; spread in single layer.
  5. Bake nuts 5 minutes. Stir. Continue to bakenuts until toasted and glaze is bubblingthickly, about 6 minutes. Immediatelytransfer nuts to prepared foil and separate.Cool completely. DO AHEAD: Can be made 2days ahead. Store airtight.
  6. Whisk mustard, vinegar, lemon juice,and sugar in small bowl; whisk in oil.Season with coarse salt and pepper.
  7. Bring large pot of water to boil.
  8. Add1 tablespoon coarse salt.
  9. Add brusselssprouts. Cook until crisp-tender and stillbright green, about 5 minutes.
  10. Drain; rinsewith cold water. Cool on paper towels.Using processor fitted with 1/8- to 1/4-inchslicing disk, slice brussels sprouts.
  11. Transferto large bowl. DO AHEAD: Dressing andbrussels sprouts can be made 1 day ahead.Cover separately; chill.
  12. Toss brussels sprouts with enoughdressing to coat.
  13. Let marinate 30 to 60minutes.
  14. Mix in some pecans.
  15. Place slaw inserving bowl. Top with remaining pecans.
  16. Look for Grade B pure maplesyrup. It has a bolder maple flavor than thedelicate Grade A.
