  • cups brussels sprouts trimmed halved thinly sliced
  • tablespoon butter 
  • 0.3 cup beef broth fat-free
  • tablespoon red wine vinegar 
  • 0.3 cup shallots finely chopped (1 large shallot)
  • slices bacon diced

Directions

  1. Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 3 minutes, stirring often. Using a slotted spoon, remove bacon, reserving drippings in pan; drain bacon.
  2. Add shallots to drippings in pan; saut 1 to 2 minutes or until lightly browned.
  3. Add butter and Brussels sprouts; saut 3 minutes.
  4. Add broth; saut 2 minutes. Stir in vinegar.
  5. Remove pan from heat; stir in pepper, and sprinkle with bacon.
