  • cups bread flour 
  • 2.3 teaspoons yeast dry
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt 
  • cup milk 2% (70&deg to 80&deg)
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 0.3 cup sugar 
  • large eggs lightly beaten room temperature

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 3 cups flour, yeast and salt. In a small saucepan, heat milk, butter and sugar to 120°-130°.
  2. Add to dry ingredients; beat on medium speed 2 minutes.
  3. Add eggs; beat to combine. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough (dough will be sticky).
  4. Turn dough onto a lightly floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minutes.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  6. Punch down dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Divide into 24 portions; shape into balls.
  7. Place in a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Cover; let rise in a warm place until almost doubled, about 1 hour.
  8. Bake at 375° until golden brown, 15-18 minutes.
