  • cups cabbage shredded finely
  • 0.5 cup celery chopped
  • 0.3 cup golden raisins 
  • 0.3 cup mayonnaise light
  • ounce dole pineapple tidbits undrained canned
  • 1.5 cups delicious apples red chopped ( 2 medium)

Directions

  1. Drain pineapple, reserving 3 tablespoons juice.
  2. Combine drained pineapple, shredded cabbage, and next 3 ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Combine reserved pineapple juice and mayonnaise; add to cabbage mixture, tossing gently. Cover and chill.
  4. To serve, spoon mixture into a cabbage leaf-lined bowl, and garnish with apple slices, if desired (cabbage leaves and apple slices not included in analysis).
  5. Tip: This tasty chilled salad is a cross between Waldorf salad and coleslaw.
