Ingredients

  • tablespoon butter 
  • small onion sweet halved thinly sliced
  • oz camembert cheese cut cubes plus extra to put on top 
  • 0.3 cup cranberries dried sweetened
  • teaspoons brown sugar 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons sherry sweet dry
  • tablespoons marjoram dried fresh chopped

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Melt butter in large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion; cook 8 to 10 minutes or until very tender, stirring frequently.
  3. Meanwhile, place cheese in ungreased decorative ovenproof shallow baking dish or plate.
  4. Bake at 350°F. for 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese is soft.
  5. Add cranberries, brown sugar, salt and sherry to onion; mix well. Cook 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved, stirring frequently. Stir in marjoram; cook and stir 1 minute.
  6. To serve, spoon warm onion mixture over cheese.
  7. Serve with assorted crackers and small cocktail bread slices. Store in refrigerator.
