Ingredients

  • 45 ounce kidney beans canned
  • 14.5 ounce canned tomatoes canned
  • tablespoons chili powder 
  • 10 cloves garlic minced
  • pounds ground beef 
  •  onions chopped
  • 45 ounce pork and beans canned
  • cups rice uncooked
  • 12 servings salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. In a large pot over medium high heat, saute the ground beef for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the onions and garlic and saute for 5 to 10 more minutes.
  3. Add the pork and beans, kidney beans, tomatoes, chili powder, beer and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir thoroughly and reduce heat to medium low.
  4. Cover and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  5. Cook the rice according to package directions.
  6. Serve the chili over the rice.
