  • 0.5 cup apple juice 
  • 0.3 cup firmly brown sugar packed
  • 2.5 pounds granny smith apples cored peeled quartered ( 8)
  • teaspoon juice of lemon 
  • 0.7 cup cinnamon decorator candies

Directions

  1. Combine candies and apple juice in a 2- cup glass measure. Microwave at HIGH 5 minutes, stirring after 2 1/2 minutes. Stir mixture until candies melt.
  2. Pour into a 4-quart electric slow cooker; stir in sugar and lemon juice.
  3. Add apples, stirring to coat. Cover with lid; cook on low heat-setting 8 hours or until very tender. Stir well.
  4. Serve warm or chilled.
