Ingredients

  • 0.8 cup apple cider 
  • 1.5 pounds individually wrapped caramels soft
  • stick cinnamon (3-inch)
  •  apples i use 2 granny smith apples cut into 8 wedges ( 4 1/2 pounds)
  • Dash nutmeg 
  • 0.5 cup half and half

Directions

  1. Place candies and cider in a medium heavy saucepan over medium heat; cook 12 minutes or until candies melt, stirring frequently. Stir in half-and-half and next 4 ingredients (half-and-half through cinnamon). Reduce heat, and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Discard the cloves and cinnamon stick.
  2. Pour into a fondue pot. Keep warm over low flame.
  3. Serve with apple wedges.
