  • tablespoons butter 
  • clove garlic finely chopped
  • lb potatoes white peeled thinly sliced ( 4 medium)
  • 0.5 lb finely-chopped ham fully cooked cut into 1/2-inch pieces ( 2 cups)
  • oz processed cheese food shredded
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper 
  • cups frangelico

  1. In 4-quart Dutch oven, melt butter over medium heat. Cook garlic in butter 1 minute, stirring occasionally, until softened.
  2. Remove from heat. Stir in potatoes, ham, cheese, flour and pepper.
  3. Pour half-and-half over potato mixture.
  4. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat; reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.
