  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • 14.5 ounce canned tomatoes diced undrained canned
  • 0.5 cup carrots chopped
  • cup chicken breast shredded boneless skinless
  • tablespoon garlic fresh minced
  • ounces green beans cut into 1-inch pieces ( 1 cup)
  • cups beef broth fat-free
  • 1.5 tablespoons olive oil extra virgin extra-virgin
  • cup onion chopped
  • 0.5 cup orzo pasta (rice-shaped star-shaped uncooked (tiny pasta)
  • 0.5 cup parmesan fresh grated
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  •  thyme leaves

Directions

  1. Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  2. Add oil to pan; swirl to coat.
  3. Add onion and next 5 ingredients (through thyme) to pan; saut 4 minutes.
  4. Add broth and tomatoes; bring to a boil.
  5. Add pasta and beans; cook 5 minutes. Stir in chicken, and sprinkle with cheese. Discard thyme.
