Ingredients

  • ounces chicken apple sausage chopped (such as Gerhard's)
  • cup fennel bulb thinly sliced ( 1 small bulb)
  • tablespoon chives fresh chopped
  • ounces gouda cheese shredded
  • teaspoons olive oil 
  • 12 ounce prebaked pizza crust (such as Mama Mary's)
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 1.5 cups oso sweet vertically sliced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 45
  2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add sausage to pan; saut 4 minutes or until browned, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from pan.
  5. Add oil to pan.
  6. Add onion, fennel, and salt; cover and cook 10 minutes or until tender and lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
  7. Place pizza crust on a baking sheet. Top evenly with onion mixture; sprinkle with cheese, and top evenly with sausage.
  8. Bake at 450 for 12 minutes or until cheese melts.
  9. Sprinkle evenly with chives.
  10. Cut pizza into 8 wedges.
