Ingredients

  • 30 ounce kidney beans canned
  • 28 ounce canned tomatoes crushed canned
  • tablespoons chili powder 
  • cloves garlic chopped
  • servings ground pepper black to taste
  • pound ground beef lean
  • cup onion chopped
  • servings salt to taste
  • tablespoons vegetable oil 
  • tablespoon distilled vinegar white

Directions

  1. In a 2 quart saucepan, brown hamburger in vegetable oil.
  2. Add onion and garlic, and cook until the onion is soft.
  3. Pour off any excess fat.
  4. Stir in beans, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, and vinegar. Salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Heat to boiling, and reduce heat. Cover, and simmer 30 minutes.
