Ingredients

  • cups blueberries fresh
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • pint half-and-half 
  • tablespoon juice of lemon fresh
  • servings garnish: mint sprigs 
  • cup orange juice 
  • 0.1 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.5 cup sugar

  • blender

Directions

  1. Bring first 5 ingredients to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring often.
  2. Remove from heat, and slightly cool.
  3. Process blueberry mixture and lemon juice in a blender or food processor until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides. Cover and chill until ready to serve.
  4. Stir in half-and-half just before serving.
  5. Serve in stemmed glasses.
  6. Garnish, if desired.
