  • 4.5 ounce chiles green chopped canned
  • 32 ounce kidney beans undrained canned
  • 28 ounce canned tomatoes diced undrained canned
  • 10 servings toppings: cheddar cheese shredded sour ripe sliced
  • tablespoons chili powder 
  • 10 servings rice hot cooked
  •  garlic cloves minced
  • teaspoons ground cumin 
  • pounds ground beef lean
  • large onion diced
  • teaspoon pepper 
  • teaspoons salt 
  • 16 ounce tomato purée canned
  • cup water

Directions

  1. Cook beef and onion in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, stirring until beef crumbles and is no longer pink; drain. Return to Dutch oven.
  2. Add tomatoes and next 9 ingredients.
  3. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 45 minutes.
  4. Serve over hot rice with desired toppings.
