Ingredients

  • teaspoon five-spice powder chinese
  • tablespoons hoisin sauce 
  • tablespoons honey 
  • pounds lamb chops trimmed well
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons rice wine dry chinese ( rice wine)
  • tablespoons soya sauce 
  • tablespoon sugar 
  • tablespoon water

  • whisk

  • ziploc bags

Directions

  1. Whisk first 6 ingredients in small bowl.
  2. Transfer to large resealable plastic bag.
  3. Add lamb; seal bag and turn to coat. Marinate in refrigerator at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat).
  5. Drain lamb, leaving some marinade clinging. Grill lamb until slightly charred and cooked to desired doneness, about 21/2 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  6. Transfer to platter.
  7. Stir honey and 1 tablespoon water in small skillet over medium heat until warm.
  8. Brush over lamb chops.
