  • ounce chipotle chiles in adobo sauce canned
  • 0.3 teaspoon basil dried
  • 0.3 cup breadcrumbs dry
  • large egg whites 
  • 0.5 cup cilantro leaves fresh coarsely chopped
  • teaspoons parsley fresh chopped
  •  garlic cloves minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin 
  • pound pd of ground turkey 
  • pound ground turkey breast 
  • 0.5 teaspoon hot sauce 
  • tablespoon catsup 
  • 0.3 cup regular oats 
  • 0.5 cup onion finely chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon oregano dried
  • teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 cup tomato sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 35
  2. To prepare meat loaf, remove 1 chipotle chile and 1 teaspoon adobo sauce from can; reserve remaining chiles and sauce for another use. Chop chile.
  3. Combine chile, adobo sauce, onion, and next 14 ingredients (through ground turkey breast) in a large bowl, stirring to combine.
  4. Place turkey mixture in a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan coated with cooking spray.
  5. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 30 minutes.
  6. To prepare topping, combine 1/4 cup tomato sauce, ketchup, and hot sauce in a small bowl; brush mixture evenly over meat loaf. Cover and bake an additional 30 minutes or until thermometer registers 16
  7. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
