  • 0.8 cup almonds toasted chopped
  • ounce chocolate wafers such as nabisco famous crushed finely
  • 0.3 cup coffee-flavored liqueur 
  • tablespoons plus light
  • teaspoon coffee granules instant
  • 0.8 cup powdered sugar sifted
  • 48 servings powdered sugar

    1. Combine liqueur, corn syrup, and instant coffee granules; let mixture stand 5 minutes.
    2. Stir until granules dissolve.
    3. Combine cookie crumbs, 3/4 cup powdered sugar, and chopped almonds; stir well.
    4. Pour coffee mixture over crumb mixture, stirring well.
    5. Shape into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar twice to coat well. Store in an airtight container up to 1 week.
    6. Note: For testing purposes only, we used Kahla for coffee-flavored liqueur.
