Ingredients

  • teaspoon basil dried
  •  eggs 
  • cup flour all-purpose
  • 10 ounces spinach frozen thawed drained chopped well
  • pound ground sausage italian johnsonville®
  • cups milk 
  • cup onion chopped
  • 0.3 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • ounces provolone cheese shredded
  • ounces roasted peppers red divided drained chopped
  • sprigs rosemary leaves fresh
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°. In a skillet, cook sausage and onion over medium heat until sausage is no longer pink; drain.
  2. Transfer to a greased 3-qt. baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle with half of the red peppers and all the spinach.
  4. In a bowl, combine flour, Parmesan cheese, basil and salt.
  5. Combine eggs and milk; add to dry ingredients and mix well.
  6. Pour over spinach.
  7. Bake 20-25 minutes or until a knife inserted near center comes out clean.
  8. Sprinkle with provolone cheese and remaining red peppers.
  9. Bake 2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
  10. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
  11. Garnish with rosemary if desired.
