Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup agave nectar 
  • cup cilantro leaves coarsely chopped
  • cups ice cubes 
  • 0.5 cup jalapeno seeded chopped
  • 1.5 cups juice of lime fresh ( 10 limes)
  •  lime wedges divided
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.8 cup sugar 
  • tablespoons sugar 
  • 4.5 cups water

  • sieve

Directions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat; stir in cilantro and jalapeo.
  3. Let stand 30 minutes.
  4. Pour jalapeo mixture into a large bowl; cover and chill at least 3 hours.
  5. Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and salt in a shallow dish. Rub rims of 8 glasses with 1 lime wedge. Dip the rims of glasses in sugar mixture.
  6. Strain cilantro mixture through a fine sieve over a bowl, discarding solids. Stir in lime juice. Fill each prepared glass with 1/2 cup ice.
  7. Add 3/4 cup limeade to each glass.
  8. Garnish with remaining 8 lime wedges.
