  • tablespoon canola oil divided
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper red crushed
  • teaspoon rubbed sage dried
  • 0.3 cup cilantro leaves fresh chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground allspice 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cumin 
  • pound ground turkey breast 
  • 0.8 cup pears diced unpeeled
  • 0.8 cup bell pepper red finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup onion red finely chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Combine first 10 ingredients in a medium bowl. Shape into 8 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
  2. Heat 1 1/2 teaspoons oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add 4 patties; cook 4 minutes. Turn patties over, and cook 3 minutes or until done.
  4. Remove patties from pan; drain on paper towels. Repeat procedure with remaining oil and remaining patties.
