Ingredients

  • 14.5 ounce canned tomatoes diced with roasted garlic canned
  • 1.3 cups couscous uncooked
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground allspice 
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon divided
  • teaspoon ground cumin 
  • pound ground round 
  • 10  pimiento-stuffed olives coarsely chopped
  • 0.5 cup raisins 
  • tablespoons slivered almonds toasted
  • 0.3 cup water

Directions

  1. Cook couscous according to package directions, omitting salt and fat.
  2. Cook beef in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 3 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble. Stir in 1 teaspoon cinnamon, tomatoes, and next 5 ingredients.
  3. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in almonds and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
  5. Serve over couscous.
