  • 29 ounce pear halves in syrup light undrained canned
  • 0.3 cup cinnamon candies red

Directions

  1. Drain pears, reserving syrup; set pears aside.
  2. Combine syrup, cinnamon candies, and lemon juice in a large saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cook until cinnamon candies dissolve, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add pears; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer pears to a medium bowl with a slotted spoon; cover and set aside.
  5. Bring remaining liquid to a boil; cook over high heat 10 minutes or until liquid is reduced to about 3/4 cup.
  6. Pour syrup over pears. Cover and chill at least 30 minutes.
