  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream 
  • 32 servings lemon crunch lace cookies 
  • tablespoons juice of lemon fresh
  • tablespoon lemon rind grated
  • 1.5 cups milk 
  • 0.5 cup orange juice 
  • 0.1 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.7 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Add milk and whipping cream, stirring until well blended.
  3. Pour cream mixture into freezer container of a 2-quart ice-cream maker, and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions. (Freezing instructions will vary among manufacturers.) Pack freezer with additional ice and rock salt, and let stand 1 hour before serving.
  4. Serve with Lemon Crunch Lace Cookies.
  5. Garnish, if desired.
