Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups flour all-purpose
  • cup granulated sugar 
  • cup orange juice 
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil 
  • tablespoon lemon zest grated
  • tablespoon lime zest grated
  • teaspoons double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  •  eggs beaten
  • 0.5 cup macadamia nuts coarsely chopped
  • serving powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 9x5-inch loaf pan with shortening. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except nuts and powdered sugar with spoon until moistened. Stir in nuts.
  2. Pour into pan.
  3. Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  4. Cool bread in pan 10 minutes. Loosen sides of bread from pan; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
  5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before slicing.
