Ingredients

  • 0.3 teaspoon baking soda 
  • cup firmly brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup butter 
  • cups oat cereal o-shaped toasted
  • 0.3 cup plus light
  • cups rice cereal squares crisp
  • 1.5 cups roasted peanuts dry
  • cup pecans 
  • cups popped popcorn 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Stir together first 5 ingredients in a lightly greased roasting pan.
  2. Bring brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup to a boil in a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly; boil, without stirring, 5 minutes or until a candy thermometer registers 25
  3. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and soda.
  4. Pour over popcorn mixture, and stir until coated.
  5. Bake at 250 for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack; break apart. Store in an airtight container.
