  • cups elbow macaroni cooked uncooked
  • 0.3 cup flour all-purpose
  • 2.7 cups milk 1% low-fat
  • 0.3 cup onion crushed ( 12 pieces)
  • ounces parmesan fresh grated
  • ounces processed cheese food light (such as Velveeta )
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoon stick margarine softened
  • ounces swiss cheese shredded

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 37
  2. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife.
  3. Place flour in a large saucepan. Gradually add milk, stirring with a whisk until blended. Cook over medium heat until thick (about 8 minutes), stirring constantly.
  4. Add cheeses; cook 3 minutes or until cheese melts, stirring frequently.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in macaroni and salt.
  6. Spoon mixture into a 2-quart casserole coated with cooking spray.
  7. Combine crushed toasts and butter in a small bowl; stir until well-blended.
  8. Sprinkle over macaroni mixture.
  9. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
