  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper black
  • cup brown rice long-grain uncooked
  • tablespoon curry powder 
  • cup lentils dried
  • cup cilantro leaves fresh chopped
  • 0.5 cup cup heavy whipping cream sour low-fat
  • teaspoons mustard seeds 
  • cups onion thinly sliced
  • teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoon vegetable oil 
  • cups water

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onion; saut 8 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add rice and next 4 ingredients (rice through pepper); saut 1 minute.
  4. Add water and lentils; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in cilantro and sour cream.
