  • tablespoon carrots diced
  • 0.3 teaspoon cayenne pepper 
  • tablespoon celery diced
  • cups rice wild cooked
  • tablespoons crimini mushrooms diced
  • cup heavy cream 
  • tablespoon onion diced
  • tablespoon parsley leaves italian chopped
  • teaspoon freshly cracked pepper black
  • tablespoon bell pepper diced red
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoon butter unsalted
  • tablespoons whole-grain mustard

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.
  2. Add the vegetables and saute for 4 to 5 minutes. Season with the salt, black pepper and cayenne. Stir in the cream and add the cooked wild rice and the mustard.
  3. Combine well and reduce the heat. Simmer until the cream has thickened, about 5 to 7 minutes. Adjust seasoning, if necessary, stir in the parsley and serve immediately.
