  • tablespoons butter 
  • tablespoon canola oil 
  • servings cilantro leaves fresh
  • tablespoon creole seasoning 
  • 0.3 cup cilantro leaves fresh chopped
  •  garlic clove minced
  • oz gouda cheese smoked shredded
  • 0.8 cup spring onion chopped
  • cup grits uncooked
  • tablespoon lemon zest 
  • cups milk 
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • pounds shrimp raw deveined peeled
  • teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoons sriracha hot
  • cup sweet potatoes and into cooked mashed

Directions

  1. Bring milk and 1 1/2 cups water to a boil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat; gradually whisk in grits. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes or until thickened.
  2. Meanwhile, sprinkle Creole seasoning over shrimp. Saut garlic in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 30 seconds.
  3. Add shrimp, and saut 3 minutes or until shrimp are almost pink.
  4. Add green onions and next 3 ingredients, and saut 3 minutes.
  5. Stir potatoes and next 4 ingredients into grits.
  6. Serve shrimp mixture over sweet potato grits.
