  • cup brown sugar packed
  • tablespoon plus 
  • 1.5 tablespoons cornstarch 
  • tablespoons sesame oil dark
  • large eggs 
  • 6.8 ounces flour all-purpose
  • tablespoons granulated sugar 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 cup tahini (roasted sesame-seed paste)
  • teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 37
  2. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife.
  3. Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, stirring with a whisk; set mixture aside.
  4. Place brown sugar, tahini, and oil in a large bowl; beat with a mixer at medium speed until well blended.
  5. Add syrup, vanilla, and egg; beat well. Gradually add flour mixture to sugar mixture, beating at low speed just until combined.
  6. Lightly coat hands with cooking spray. Shape dough into 36 balls (about 1 inch each).
  7. Place granulated sugar in a shallow bowl.
  8. Roll dough balls in granulated sugar; place 2 inches apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper. Flatten balls slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  9. Bake at 375 for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on pans 2 minutes.
