  • 0.8 teaspoon curry powder 
  • 1.5 pounds flat iron steak cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1.3 teaspoons garam masala 
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground cumin 
  • 12 servings sauce 
  • tablespoons vegetable oil; peanut oil preferred 
  • 0.5 teaspoon peppercorns freshly ground
  • 1.3 teaspoons sea salt freshly ground
  • 0.5 cup coconut sweetened flaked toasted

Directions

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat grill to 350 to 400 (medium-high).
  3. Whisk together peanut oil and next 5 ingredients in a large bowl until blended.
  4. Add steak pieces, and toss to coat. Thread beef onto skewers.
  5. Grill beef, covered with grill lid, over 350 to 400 (medium-high) heat, 3 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness.
  6. Place skewers on a serving platter, and drizzle with Jade Sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with toasted flaked coconut.
