Ingredients

  • teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper black
  • 15 ounce chickpeas rinsed drained canned (garbanzo beans)
  • 0.3 cup flat-leaf parsley leaves fresh
  • 0.3 cup flour all-purpose
  •  garlic cloves 
  • teaspoon ground cumin 
  • teaspoon lemon rind grated
  • tablespoons olive oil 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons tahini (roasted sesame seed paste)
  • servings tzatziki

Directions

  1. With food processor on, drop garlic through food chute; process until minced.
  2. Add chickpeas and next 8 ingredients to garlic in food processor; process until chickpeas are finely ground. Shape mixture into 4 (3-inch) patties.
  3. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add patties to pan; cook 4 minutes on each side or until browned.
  5. Serve patties with Tzatziki.
