  •  garlic cloves peeled
  • teaspoon kosher salt 
  • tablespoon juice of lemon fresh
  • 0.3 cup olive oil extra-virgin
  • tablespoons pinenuts toasted

Directions

  1. Place garlic in food processor; process until minced.
  2. Add basil and next 4 ingredients (through pepper). With processor on, slowly pour oil through food chute; process until smooth, scraping sides.
  3. Tip: If you don't have pine nuts, you can substitute other nuts such as unsalted and toasted walnuts or cashews. All nuts add their own unique flavor to pesto.
