Ingredients

  • lb ground beef 80% lean (at least )
  • 15 oz chili beans sauce undrained canned
  • cup salsa thick
  • cups tortilla chips 
  • 0.3 cup spring onion sliced
  • 0.8 cup tomatoes chopped
  • oz monterrey jack cheese shredded
  • serving tortilla chips 
  • serving lettuce shredded
  • serving salsa thick

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. In 10-inch skillet, cook beef over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain. Stir in beans and 1 cup salsa.
  2. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
  3. In ungreased 2-quart casserole, place broken tortilla chips. Top with beef mixture.
  4. Sprinkle with onions, tomato and cheese.
  5. Bake uncovered 20 to 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Arrange tortilla chips around edge of casserole.
  6. Serve with lettuce and additional salsa.
