  • slices oscar mayer bacon cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 28 oz beef broth fat-free reduced-sodium canned
  • 0.5 tsp pepper black
  • slices bread italian toasted
  • cup italian* five cheese shredded with a touch of philadelphia kraft
  • large onions spanish separated thinly sliced
  • Tbsp parmesan cheese grated kraft
  • 0.3 tsp thyme leaves dried

  • slotted spoon

Directions

  1. Cook and stir bacon in large saucepan on medium heat until crisp.
  2. Remove bacon from pan with slotted spoon; drain on paper towels. Discard all but 2 Tbsp. drippings from pan.
  3. Add onions to reserved drippings in pan; cook 20 min. or until golden brown, stirring frequently.
  4. Add broth, pepper and thyme; stir. Simmer 15 min.
  5. Remove from heat; stir in bacon.
  6. Heat broiler. Ladle soup into 5 ovenproof bowls; top with remaining ingredients.
  7. Broil, 4 inches from heat, 2 to 3 min. or until cheeses are melted and golden brown.
