Ingredients

  • slices lime fresh
  • 1.5 cups juice of lime fresh ( 6 to 8 large limes)
  • cups sugar 
  • cups water 
  • cups water cold

  • sauce pan

Directions

  1. Stir together sugar and 2 cups water in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil, and cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes or until sugar mixture reaches syrup consistency.
  2. Remove from heat; cool.
  3. Stir in juice and 5 cups cold water.
  4. Serve over ice.
  5. Garnish, if desired.
  6. *1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice (about 6 to 8 lemons) may be substituted.
  7. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired.
