  • lb ground beef 80% lean (at least )
  • 2.5 cups water hot
  • 0.5 cup milk 
  • box hawaiian rolls 
  • 0.5 teaspoon oregano dried
  • 0.3 teaspoon garlic powder 
  • 0.5 cup tomatoes coarsely chopped
  • 0.5 cup bell pepper coarsely chopped
  • cup zucchini thinly sliced
  • oz mozzarella cheese shredded

Directions

  1. In 12-inch skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked; drain.
  2. Stir in hot water, milk, uncooked pasta and sauce mix (from Hamburger Helper box), oregano and garlic powder.
  3. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in tomato, bell pepper, zucchini and cheese. Cover; simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat; uncover (sauce will thicken as it stands). Stir before serving.
