Ingredients

  • 1.5 teaspoons optional: dill dried
  •  garlic cloves pressed
  • small bunches green onion chopped
  • 0.7 cup mayonnaise 
  • pounds new potatoes cut into 1/2-inch peices
  • teaspoons salt 
  • teaspoons sugar 
  • 0.5 cup tarragon vinegar 
  • 0.3 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Combine oil and garlic in a large bowl; set aside.
  2. Cook potatoes in boiling salted water to cover 15 to 20 minutes or until tender; drain potatoes, and place in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk vinegar and next 3 ingredients into oil mixture.
  4. Pour over warm potatoes, tossing to coat. Cover and chill 8 hours.
  5. Combine potato mixture, mayonnaise, and green onions, tossing gently.
