Sprinkle garlic into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Arrange chicken over garlic; sprinkle onion, 1/2 teaspoon salt, oregano, thyme, and pepper over chicken. Cover and bake at 425 for 30 minutes.
Uncover chicken; bake 30 more minutes or until chicken is done.
Remove chicken from dish, and add 1/4 teaspoon salt to drippings.
