  • cup coconut or flaked
  •  egg yolk with 1 teaspoon water beaten
  • cup evaporated milk 
  • 0.5 cup butter 
  • cup pecans chopped
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • cup sugar white

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, margarine and vanilla. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thick.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in pecans and coconut.
  3. Spread on cake while still warm.
