  • 0.5 cup apple sauce 
  • teaspoon baking soda 
  • cup t brown sugar dark packed
  • large eggs 
  • 1.5 cups flour all-purpose
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 1.5 cups oats 
  • 0.5 cup raisins 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons stick margarine softened
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract 
  • 0.5 cup walnut pieces chopped

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 35
  2. Beat sugar and butter at medium speed of a mixer until well-blended (about 5 minutes).
  3. Add applesauce and egg; beat well. Lightly spoon flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife.
  4. Combine flour, oats, soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture; beat at low speed until well-blended. Stir in raisins, walnuts, and vanilla. Using 3 level tablespoons per cookie, drop dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheets coated with cooking spray; flatten slightly.
  6. Bake at 350 for 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Remove cookies from pans; cool on wire racks.
