Ingredients

  • cup bell pepper strips red
  • teaspoons sriracha (such as Lee Kum Kee)
  • cups rice white hot cooked
  • teaspoons cornstarch 
  • teaspoons sesame oil dark divided
  • 14 ounce less-sodium chicken broth fat-free canned
  • tablespoons ginger fresh minced peeled
  •  garlic cloves minced
  • cups cut green beans (2-inch) ()
  • 0.8 cup green onion tops (2-inch)
  • 0.3 cup green onions finely chopped
  • tablespoon hoisin sauce 
  • tablespoons soya sauce low-sodium
  • pound rump steak boneless cut into 1/4-inch strips

Equipment

Directions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl, stirring well with a whisk. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add 1/4 cup chopped green onions, ginger, and garlic to pan; saut 30 seconds.
  4. Add beef to pan, and saut for 4 minutes or until browned.
  5. Remove from pan.
  6. Wipe pan dry with a paper towel.
  7. Add remaining 1 teaspoon oil to pan; heat over medium-high heat.
  8. Add beans and pepper to pan. Cover and cook 3 minutes. Uncover and cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  9. Add 3/4 cup green onion tops; saut 1 minute. Return beef mixture to pan. Stir in broth mixture; bring to a boil. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  10. Remove from heat.
  11. Serve with rice.
