  • 0.8 cup beef broth 
  • 1.5 pounds beef top sirloin steaks thinly sliced into 3-inch strips
  • 0.8 cup carrots thinly sliced
  • servings rice hot cooked

  • tablespoons cornstarch divided
  • teaspoon ground ginger 
  • teaspoons orange zest grated
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons soya sauce 
  • tablespoons vegetable oil divided
  • tablespoons water

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 2 tablespoons cornstarch, water and salt until smooth.
  2. Add beef; toss to coat.
  3. In a large skillet, stir-fry beef in batches in 1 tablespoon oil until meat reaches desired doneness; remove and keep warm. Stir-fry carrots in remaining oil for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Place remaining cornstarch in a bowl; stir in broth until smooth. add the soy sauce, orange peel and ginger. Return beef to skillet; stir in broth mixture. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  5. Serve over rice.
