Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup ginger fresh grated
  • 0.3 cup honey 
  • 0.3 cup juice of lemon 
  • 10 servings garnish: mint sprigs fresh
  • 1.5 cups sugar 
  •  lipton family size tea bags 
  • quarts water 

Equipment

  • sieve
  • blender
  • baking pan

Directions

  1. Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil in a large saucepan. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add tea bags; cover and steep 5 minutes.
  4. Remove tea bags, squeezing gently; add sugar, stirring until dissolved. Cool.
  5. Pour tea through a wire-mesh strainer into a 13- x 9-inch baking dish.
  6. Freeze 8 hours.
  7. Remove mixture from freezer 20 minutes before serving. Process mixture, one-fourth at a time, in a food processor or blender until smooth.
  8. Serve immediately, and garnish, if desired.
