  • tablespoons balsamic vinegar 
  • tablespoon basil fresh chopped
  • pound green beans fresh
  • 0.8 teaspoon marjoram fresh minced
  • teaspoon thyme leaves fresh minced
  • 0.3 cup green onions minced
  • tablespoons olive oil 
  • 0.8 teaspoon oregano fresh minced
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • tablespoons red wine vinegar 
  • 0.5 teaspoon sugar 
  • 1.5 pounds tomatoes peeled seeded finely chopped

Directions

  1. Combine first 7 ingredients in a medium bowl; toss well.
  2. Combine vinegars, oil, and sugar, stirring well with a wire whisk.
  3. Pour over tomato mixture; toss gently.
  4. Let stand at room temperature 1 hour.
  5. Wash beans; trim ends, and remove strings.
  6. Cut into 2-inch pieces. Arrange beans in a vegetable steamer over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 to 7 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain.
  7. Place green beans in a large bowl.
  8. Add tomato mixture to green beans, and toss gently. Cover; chill 1 hour.
