  • slices bacon 
  • pounds green beans fresh washed and trimmed

Directions

  1. Remove both ends of beans, break in half, and wash thoroughly.
  2. Place in a large pot and add water 3 to 4 inches from the top.
  3. Add bacon and cook until tender.
  4. Remove bacon from cooking water and discard.
  5. Remove beans and place in a large bowl, add almonds and toss.
  6. Serve Hot.
