  • pound flank steak trimmed
  • 0.3 cup cilantro leaves fresh coarsely chopped
  • 0.5 cup mint leaves fresh coarsely chopped
  • tablespoons green onions chopped
  • cups iceberg lettuce sliced
  • teaspoons lemongrass fresh peeled finely chopped
  • 0.3 cup juice of lime fresh
  • cups napa cabbage chinese sliced ()
  • 0.5 cup thinly onion red vertically sliced
  • 0.1 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 cup shallots thinly sliced
  • teaspoons sugar 
  • 0.5 cup tomatoes chopped

Directions

  1. Prepare grill.
  2. To prepare dressing, combine first 9 ingredients, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  3. To prepare salad, sprinkle steak with salt and pepper.
  4. Place steak on a grill rack coated with cooking spray; grill 4 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness.
  5. Remove from grill; place on a cutting board.
  6. Let stand 15 minutes.
  7. Cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
  8. Place steak, lettuce, and remaining ingredients in a large bowl.
  9. Pour dressing over salad; toss well to coat.
  10. Serve immediately.
