  • large garlic clove minced
  • 16 ounce halibut steaks ( 3/)
  • tablespoon jalapeno seeded finely chopped
  • tablespoons juice of lime fresh
  • teaspoon mint flakes dried
  • 0.3 cup pineapple preserves 
  • ounce dole pineapple tidbits unsweetened drained canned
  • 0.3 cup bell pepper red finely chopped
  • tablespoons onion red finely chopped
  • 0.1 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoon vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Combine the first 8 ingredients in a bowl; stir well. Set salsa aside.
  2. Combine oil and garlic; brush over fish.
  3. Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon salt over fish; set aside.
  4. Prepare grill or broiler.
  5. Place fish on grill rack or broiler pan coated with cooking spray, and cook 3 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
  6. Spoon the salsa over the fish.
  7. Serve with lime wedges, and garnish with cilantro sprigs, if desired.
