  • 0.5 lb ahi tuna steak 
  • teaspoon vegetable oil 
  • small clove garlic finely chopped
  • large plum tomatoes sliced (Roma)
  • oz mozzarella fresh sliced
  • tablespoons balsamic vinaigrette 
  • tablespoons basil fresh chopped

Directions

  1. Heat gas or charcoal grill.
  2. Drizzle both sides of tuna steaks with oil; rub with garlic.
  3. Let stand at room temperature 15 minutes to marinate.
  4. Meanwhile, on large serving plate or platter, place tomato and cheese slices.
  5. Drizzle with vinaigrette; sprinkle with basil. Set aside.
  6. Place tuna on grill. Cover grill; cook over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until fish flakes easily with fork and is slightly pink in center.
  7. Cut tuna into slices.
  8. Place tuna slices on top of tomatoes and cheese.
