  • teaspoon caraway seed 
  • cups chicken broth organic swanson® (Regular, Natural or Certified )
  • tablespoons parsley fresh chopped
  • clove garlic minced
  • cups cabbage shredded green
  • 0.3 teaspoon ground pepper black
  • large onions chopped
  • large potatoes diced
  • tablespoon vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a 6-quart saucepot over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the onions and garlic and cook for 3 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally.
  3. Stir the broth, black pepper, cabbage, potato and ham in the saucepot and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 30 minutes or until the potato is tender.
  4. Stir in the parsley and caraway seed, if desired.
